I was doubtful to select TP-Link’s router as I’ve had never used this brand. Earlier I have always had great experience with Netgear. Now when I wanted a new N Router I was searching and TP-Link came as a choice amongst many online users and I ready lots of good reviews about the product. I’ve been using it since quite a while now and so far it’s working flawlessly.
For those who want this info: this TP-Link TL-WR740N does provide the bandwidth limiting and that too on IP based settings.
I am mentioning this because I wanted a setup where I could limit the bandwidth for a particular device like mobile or gaming console or a particular connected laptop/computer, I searched on net and lots of people have posted quite expensive setups for that whereas no one(I think) has mentioned that this small quite inexpensive router from TP-Link does provide an awesome bandwidth limiting feature. Only thing is you must know how to use that and it will take a bit learning in that I would say. But year it works perfectly.
Along with that, there are lots and lots of other great features in this router e.g. Parental Control, Advanced Routing etc. so I would say this product is a great buy for the end users who just want to get their WIFI going and also it’s a superb device for the geeky users who wants to go an extra mile and customize the behavior of their WIFI network.
All in all, it’s a great product and I would highly recommend it for your WLAN WIFI needs.
