I purchased a set of Philips in-ear headphones for my little cousin, it was to be a birthday gift; Tradus had other plans.
I was checking online, and found that the price on Tradus was lower than that on ebay.in, so decided to buy the headphones from Tradus. I like to call this mistake number 1. A while after I had gone through with the purchase, a friend informed me about how he had bought something from Tradus, but only received a refund and no product. Purchasing something online without asking people for feedback, I call this mistake number 2.
I was promised delivery in 5 days, on the 7th day(a day before I needed the headset) I get an email from Tradus that states, “As communicated I am processing the refund for the amount charged against your order". My question was, as communicated? When? Where? Needless to say, there wasn’t any previous communication. I read on and find out that the refund is being provided as the item is not in stock.
I replied back to them asking them why they were selling items they didnt have in stock, and also reminded them that I paid Tradus the money in lieu of a pair of headphones that were supposed to be a birthday gift for someone, not a refund and further requested them to send me the product I had ordered. I mean common, Why allow someone to purchase something you dont have in stock? Its not like I can give my cousin the refund as a birthday gift!
Today I get a response in which they thank me for writing to them and then in very polite terms tell me that whether I like it or not, I am going to get a refund and they even go the extra mile by thanking me for "bearing with them" and that they "appreciate the time I spent in helping them improve their services"
Needless to say, I would never recommend Tradus to anyone, in fact I’d very much like to warn all online buyers to beware of Tradus. I have bought over 60 items from other online shopping sites and have never had such a bad experience.
