Dont be surprised if your friend from Delhi calls up and says that The movie feels like documentary and not really great:( cos only a mumbaikar can relate to the movie in totality! (Sorry, I do not intend to bring up any regionalism bole to me being lived in both the places for reasonably good amount of time, I can see both sides!)
The opening third of the movie more or less shows a typical day+night life at a traffic signal and YES, being here for so many years..
I now truly understand why it takes two red lights to cross a particular junction! Also, the organization of the Traffic Signal industry industry as well as the revenue it makes in a week were truly awesome to know! And the tapori language at its peak I had a little problem in getting some of the slang..
The protagonist is a typical Bhandarkar character..but the struggle he goes through, unlike Corporate, feels less realistic! All the actors did perfect justice to their roles..
The girl from Gujarat (who sells outfits) looks too glamorous for her role.. Ranveer is too good (Equally good as Khosla ka Ghosla!).. Silsila is fine..Konkana tried to gel in but to some it might feel that she has not done total justice (may be the aura of the characters she did in the past still haunt her and makes it tough to see her as a whore!)
Overall great movie.. especially if you are living in Mumbai!!
