Story in brief about TRANS(FRAUD) INDIA:
# NO WORK ETHICS. LITERALLY.!
# FAKE HOTEL VOUCHERS PROVIDED.!
# THEY WILL PRESSURIZE YOU TO PAY THE MONEY. ONCE PAYMENT IS DONE THEN THEY DONT RESPOND TO CALLS AND MAILS.!
# According to them bank takes more than 5 days to process a cheque and no idea on how much time is required for NEFT transactions
# No itinerary fixed despite lot of discussion.ITINERARY WAS NOT EVEN FIXED WHEN WE ARRIVED IN SRINAGAR.
# They were not fair in dealings
# They lied a lot and did not pay money to hotels and cab drivers leading to humiliating situations
# Reviews written on sites were by the people from trans India and/or the people paid by trans India to write good review. If read carefully can be understood.
# The things went to such extent that we had to raise a complaint with the District Commissioner to get things moving from their side.
# They have a bad repo among their fellow tour organizers and others who are involved in tourism.
# Their activities are so fraudulent that they have changed their company name so many times in the past. We also encountered the same. The first reply came from some kashmir tours and travels, then trans india took it up.
To start with it:
some of us guys decided for a bike tour from Srinagar to Manali.A tour about which all of us have been dreaming and we somehow arranged all the finances and settled the differences; after several days of work and sacrifice from all of us.
We sent tenders to a lot of tour agencies and we received the cheapest tender from the trans India Srinagar Agency. Of course some of us have had experiences like this before, so we had warned our friends about it and it happened as it was suppose to.
First they talked about providing all the bikes from Kargil. We agreed to it. Then they asked us to transfer the money for the flight tickets and hotel booking which is 30 percent of the whole amount. Then they asked us to transfer the money for the flights, which we did. Then they cancelled our flight tickets without informing us. They did not return us the money at all. Finally flight cost went very high and we had to buy ticket on credit card. Then they did not send the itinerary for nearly two months. Lot of calls to connect to them. Lot of mails were sent to connect to them. They are very very sloppy once they get the money. When we reached Srinagar they did not give us the houseboat stay that was promised. THEY TOLD US THAT THEY SUBMITTED THE CHEQUE TO THE BANK FOR REIMBURSEMENT(LIARS}:-() . Then they put all the members in a taxi(more than the seating capacity of the vehicle) to Kargil. And to our surprise the still did not have the itinerary prepared. Then they had a cheap talk about their stupid phone bill when we were the one calling them up continuously. That showed us that they are a damn sub-standard tour operator. When we arrived at Kargil hotel, the taxi driver asked us money. We told them to talk to the tour operators as we they had money more than that which was there in the agreement. They asked us to pay the driver which was not possible as we did not have the required amount. Then finally the taxi driver kept our luggage so that they would give them the money. Then the also did not pay the hotel for our stay. Adding to that they did get us the bikes in Kargil as they had promised. Then we had to travel to Leh in taxi. When we arrived at Leh, they bike rentals that they talked about doubled beacuse of which we had to cut down the number of bikes. This was discussed clearly with the tour provider over and over again. After the stay in Leh, as usually they did not pay the hotel. As per the itinerary we visited Pangong lake and there was suppose to be camping there. But in real they had arranged the stay away from the place leading to less time in the place and more travelling. They did not let us leave the hotel compound making us wait and loose one day of they tour. They told us that they sent a taxi which never came. After a lot of conversation with trans india and the hotel owners we took a separate hotel for temporary stay before the last leg of the travel to Manali. Because of all this we complained to the DC of Leh about all this. Finally the office of DC of Leh called the tour agents to get the things moving. If they(DC office) had not supported us, we would not have been stuck in Leh with a big bill on our head. Then finally we thought things would be fine but then Leh to Manali is 400+ Kms ride with very difficult road or no road at all at different some stretches. There was suppose to be one more camping in between this trip. As usual they misinformed the driver and we had a Tata Sumo with lot of people and luggage. The car was not meant to carry so many people in tough roads because of which the suspension broke down. And the camp arranged was not reachable in the time fixed by the tour agents because of the bad/no-road in this stretch. We had to camp at a place near one of the passes in a dhaba in the freezing climate. Then finally we arrived at Manali and we were able to somehow finish the tour and GOT THE HELL OUT OF THE PLACE AND AWAY FROM THE TRANS INDIA. You will definitely get for what you did to people. We have all the proofs and documents if you would like to see.
