The specifications look very good on paper and 2 year warranty was encouraging. It even came with a nice case of silicon and neck strap. Although it would be quite heavy around your neck.

I loaded about 14 cd in the player and finished with more than 600 tracks. There were three to seven copies of each track that would have had to remove one by one. I tried the reset button, no luck.

Radio commands not work properly nor video commands or configuration.

Unlike other players who had tried and was able to return to  a refund, the MP860 had to be returned to Transcend.

So I called the company and they said they no longer buy the player directly Transcend he could not get a refund, repair or replacement only.

I informed of the problem and was told to send an email requesting a refund Transcend website. I quickly received a reply from Transcend apology explaining that the person with whom I spoke was "new" and misinformed.

There was a link in the email that was supposed to take me to a website where I could get a RMA code to return to the player. that link took me to the same useless pages that had already been in.

I sent another email from Transcend request an RMA. His answer was a useless link. After a couple of emails that finally was sent a link that worked and was able to print out an application form for reimbursement and get a RMA code.

There was a delay of 2 weeks Transcend MP860 send me and took 2 to 3 weeks after sending back for me to get my refund.

I finally found a new mp3 player I’m very happy with a Sony Walkman. It worked perfectly from the beginning. Simple, intuitive controls feel stylish and solidly built.
