All Simple & Neat:
Transcend 610 is simple bar-form Mp3+FM player. Measuring 2.7 by 1.3 by 0.6 inches and weighing less than an ounce, the Transcend T.sonic 610 is smaller than it looks in photographs. It has a I28x64-pixel OLED screen, it is particularly nice and easy on the eyes, with four lines of bright text and icons—bluish green for the ID3 tag info and yellow for the system status.
The body finish is good. Feels like nice light fiber with a metallic looking band running through the phone from top to bottom. Has its microphone in its front side n has MIC written on it. Below, there is very easy to use control pad having arrows of all possible directions; i.e. up, down, right n left having its VOICE CONTROL on the same. Above[just under the display], it’s a two way general accept or cancel button u can say. But it is actually a play/pause/switch on/switch off switch n the other one to enter the folders n scrolling down different files. All the glossy parts are expected to hold fingerprints while the matt finish of the back prevents the equipment from slipping off your palms. All simple and not so neat after all
*Features:
*Transcends flash-based T.sonic 610 packs music and a decent set of features into a convenient package at a reasonable price. The system has capacity of 2 GBs n its not expandable in any circumstances. Firstly it can play audio files like mp3, wma.etc in which it has a couple of equalizers which can also be set by the user. It has an FM radio built in which can store up to 20 different bands all at once. The player has a record function which can record even the songs which are getting played on air with three record modes loud, quiet n noisy. [PS: The Radio func. has to be switched on]. It has an A-B repeat function which can repeat the play list after playing once and also it can repeat a section of the song u want to hear once again [At Max. of 30 Seconds continuously]. The system has got an usual USB 2.0 port which is damn easy to operate [Windows XP ready].The screen has ability to get its contrast, brightness set by the user
*Battery:
*Transcend T.Sonic has got a good battery life. It has a minimum play time[including all audio/fm/rec.] of 12 hours [under fully charged conditions]. However it can be easily increased by reducing its contrast to the lowest, hearing at low volumes, recording in a quiet environment, using screen savers.etc.
*Conclusion:
*The Transcend T.Sonic 610 is selling for around Rs. 3, 500 off the street. The system has all that one would pay for and expect to get .There aren’t many better players available[of same size n features] that give you so much at that price making it a perfectly respectable buy; at the same time expect you to get a little used to the minor glitches; if productivity rules over style for you the Transcend T.Sonic 610 is great.
*PS: The RAM given below is actually the DISC space
