This is the Silicon age. With Electronics occupying every part of our life, we are gr8-ly benefited by it. Products like Laptops, Mobiles, TVs, USB Devices have revolutionised our lives, haven’t they? Electronics are growing smaller and inexpensive yet powerful and larger in capacity - thanks to the invention of the "Chip" 50 yrs ago in USA resulting in today’s CMOS technology and Flash Memory products. Of these one interesting product is MP3 player!
However we need to be careful about the brand of Electronics we choose. Having had a bad experience with Moser Baer MP3 player I wanted a better brand MP3 player. To avoid hassles I shortlisted three good brands: Creative, Apple and Transcend. Since Apple and Creative haven’t got display I neglected them. Is Transcend reliable? My earlier experience: Once my Transcend Thumb Drive was accidentally left in the pocket of my shirt which was soaked in water for washing for more than an hour and was later removed. Guess what? After drying for 15 min and connecting to a PC and DVD Player, NO DATA WAS LOST( I was really lucky)! This increased my trust in the brand and I bought it.
The Player has the following Bad and Good points:
First off the negative. . . . . . .although this is a great MP3 player for this price, its volume is not LOUD enough! Even at max volume, the sound produced(with Panasonic XBS Headphones too!) is way too powerless for music lovers. So when we pass by noisy atmospheres or travel by vehicles/cabs that play FM at high volumes we can’t hear the player’s music! Thats’s one bugging thing. And one more issue: 2 GB version is available only in White color which gets v. dirty when exposed in dusty environments. And earphones are quite big and I felt pain when kept in my ears for a long time.
In all other aspects, this player rocks! The MP650 is a versatile MP3 player that also has a built-in FM radio that can be quickly recorded whenever you hear something you like.
