..........and we lived happily ever after

I just don’t know how and why but this always happens to me whenever I lay my eyes on a kool car or a hot chick – “if” a voice comes from the bottom of my heart (which usually does) I get to see her again – up close and personal. Trust me on that. We have tried it so many times – I mean me and my wife has and now she has finally given up on the same as I am sure to see that Car I was looking at – parked in the next 2 -3 KMS or may be that girl will come right in front of me again and again on the road or in the mall or may be in the theatre wherever I point her out to my wife.

*Now what has that got to do with Transformers?? – I am coming to that point.

When the movie released – some how I missed watching it in the theatre and there came that voice from the bottom of my heart – a couple of months back. “God please release it again so I can see them up close and personal”.

This Friday I got an email from Adlabs “Watch Transformers in Dome – ONLY @ 49/-“

*And I was like “Oh Man, I should have wished for an appraisal or a car – may be”.

I love watching those Crash Boom Bang movies on the big screen and how good it could be when you watch it in one of the biggest Dome Theatres in the country with 12000 Watts of Solid Earth Shattering Sound in the background.

But I guess that was the wrong choice for lot of others with us who ended watching Transformers in the Dome – I could seriously see people going out of the hall mid way and puking – LOL. You will be surprised to know that my wife too indeed ended up going out with my baby and they played in that children play area till I watched the happy ending.

It indeed is confusing at times in Dome as I guess these movies are not in the Dome Format they are playing and really is straining on the eyes and head too. Even last time too when we watched SpiderMan 3 – it was great fun but was not upto the mark as it has to be in a theatre because of the dome’s circular screen and movies Flat rectangular format – it does gets blurry from the side and it aint great to go left to right to see them talk face to face.

Had already seen it twice – and have a DVD too - this was the third time I was watching the movie but big screen will remain a big screen – whatever said and done.

What more do you want in the name of a movie? With two cool dudes – one of them a college going kid in the first year of his college and another being a True American Warrior fighting for his country some where in Qatar.

Two hot chicks – one being some kindda scientist / analyst on the lookout of a virus or shall I say the power behind the virus and another one which comes across one of those cool dudes just like that one fine day. Eye pleasing stuff guys (For those who have not seen it yet).

A couple of Awesomely cool Cars, SUV’s, Trucks, Airplanes, Music Player and mobiles which transform into robots and vice versa.

What I don’t understand at times is why in the name of the world it’s always America which is under attack – whereas it’s the other way round in the real life. Aliens come to USA, Terminators too come to USA only and now even the poor Transformers too come to USA only – even when one of them lands in Qatar – it happens to be Air Base of United States of America which is under attack at the first instances.

Whatever may be the reason – but the way they have shot the whole movie – it indeed is an awesome experience – believe me this time when I say so that the Burger (The traditional Rohit the best burger) – is still lying in my refrigerator – as It was impossible for me to manage the timing while watching the movie that I could eat it. Now THAT is a big thing. Had I being in the panel of Academy Awards – I would have given them a couple at least.

First things first – the first shot itself when that Alien thing takes control of that huge Helicopter and attacks the air base in Qatar – is one of the best scenes of the movie – the way it converts into a robot and starts shooting – Amazing stuff. I wish I could make those noises in word here – Truly Amazing.

Second is that second attack on the Qatar left over guys by that scorpion shaped alien. Here they had done some real cool stuff as far as action and comedy go hand in hand. Landing of that poor soldiers call in some Indian Call Centre is worth watching. That says a lot about American Outsourcing.

Third is when the cool dude college kid gets his first car – its truly a piece of junk what his dad gets him in $5K flat – but that turns out to be inhabited by one of the transformers and what a site man to see the car coming alive into a robot and than again into that cool Chevy in the blink of an eye.

Fourth that Cop Car and Hero Car fight scene wherein they turn into robots first and than again into cars and chase each other down with dudes inside them – Royal stuff.

Fifth – its not only America which is under attack – it’s the whole damn world – the bad Transformers want to take over Earth and Good ones are on our side to save the planet and it all was to happen in US of A.

I have no idea about the others whose who of the cast as I guess I never saw those guys and gals in any other movies – the only guy I know was the Army guy who I saw in that “Turistas” movie last year and may be a couple others but dunno – yeah the Defense Secretary was a known guy – wifey was telling me he is the dad of Ms Angelina Jolie which I am yet to verify from Google.

Apart from being a fantastic science fiction and great royal scenic stuff the movie turns out to be the one with great comic too. It has so many one liners which will have you in splits and some awesome black humor thrown in too. I love that black guy – I guess he is the same one who gets beaten black and blue by Jet Li in “Romeo Must Die”.

And if I start talking about the climax stuff and that Area 51 – thing of typical USA style – this review is gonna go cross my limits. I really feel surprised by the imagination powers of these guys – to what extent do they imagine and what a great way to put the imagination to work – seriously – the team behind the Computer Graphics on this one needs a standing ovation. I missed seeing the earlier terminators on the big screen but this one pays me back for all of those movies.

In the end though the good Transformers end up saving the planet earth and they do stay back with the college kid – but the way they throw down the bad guy below the North Pole – I am sure that guy is gonna wake up in another couple of years.

Waiting for him to get up and get his a*ss kicked yet again – typically American style – although I wish they should come this time to India or go to China may be.
