I had been patient for 6 months and it has run out now. This is the WORST service I ever received while transporting my Goods. These guys manipulate and will cheat you if needed. Please be mindful when availing their services and the insurance you take. They promise something else while they serve something entirely different. **I had purchased a full cover insurance and they gave me a receipt confirming the same but internally I was insured only for accidental cover.** Please read further for details:
I had chose them due to the commitment they had shown me and the price they quoted were competitive with the market but it turned the other way.
My household goods were shifted from Gurgaon to Greater Noida and some of my stuff got damaged during transit, of which refrigerator was primarily damaged(the base was damaged completely with the doors having significant marks) plus some dents on the furniture. Thankfully, I had taken full cover insurance on recommendation of my friends(intially I dint intended to but agreed since my company was paying for it).
Initially when I brought the damages to the notice of the owner(Mr Rawat), they sent their guy(Mr Bharat) to review. I was hopeful that since I had taken the insurance I would be covered. Mr Bharat took a note of it and promised me that everything will be resolved as I was covered. I kept talking to Mr Bharat and Mr Rawat and they kept assuring that it will be resolved soon and they kept delaying it. Meanwhile my friend suggested that I take the matter with the insurance. I raised a claim with the insurance directly. Then after a couple of days, a surveyor came to review. The insurance later sent Claim closure letter acknowledging the damages were observey but they can’t be paid as no accident had happened during the transit and my coverage was a Basic cover under ITC B Clause only.
I didn’t understand this initially and sent a copy of the letter to the Mr Rawat. After a couple of days, I again called up the insurance and asked them to send me the copy of policy document and the reciept. I was shocked to know that I had been given a basic cover only, which was valid for accidents ONLY. Now I knew that why my claim was denied by the insurance and all the stories being made. I HAD PAID AN INSURANCE PREMIUM OF RS 3570 FOR A FULL COVER WHILE THE PREMIUM PAID ON BEHALF WAS ONLY FOR RS 113. I have receipts to confirm the same. I brought this to the notice of Mr Bharat and Mr Rawat, and they said they will look into the matter. To avoid the claim they even started saying that my stuff was damaged before it was loaded, while there was nothing like that. And now they have stopped taking my calls or responding to my text and emails.
I have not received any update on it yet and the matter hasn’t been resolved today.
*So my sincere advice to you is please check the insurance directly with the company rather then rely on them, in case you choose to use Transtech. I will never recommend it to anyone ever.*
