The Best thing to happen to Television

This channel is undoubtedly the best new channel launched recently. I mean, from the day I first saw this amazing channel, it has been occupying around 60% of my T.V. viewing time.

The programs on this channel are genuinely good and for a travel freak like me its heaven. Five of my favorites are listed here.

Travelers:

Hello World ! I’ve been waiting .....

The Title song of this old but wonderful program still rings in my head. This show used to be aired on discovery before, and now its very aptly shifted to the Travel & Living channel. This is a classic program where a group of 4 travelers travel around the globe visiting beautiful exotic places and experiencing the life, the food, the culture, the sites of this place.

For me these guys have the bestest job in the world ! I mean, you get to roam around the world see places, taste a wide variety of food, meet different diverse people, get to be on T.V. ! and the best part is, get paid for it too ! Give me a job like that any day !. But the main point why I like this show is that the hosts not only tell us about the places but also about their feeling, they share their thoughts and emotions with the audience. That’s what clicks about this show.

Some of the shows I liked were Australia, Japan, Morocco and USA.

Globe Trekker:

Another wonderful show. It features the host Ian Wright traveling around the world in search of not so common and not so visited place. Be it Antarctic or deepest parts of Africa or highest mountains of Tibet. This show features some of the Best places to visit in the world which very few people know about. Being a travel freak myself, after every show my list of places-to-visit-before-I-die keeps on growing!

The best show I liked was when he went to Nepal and Tibet. Ian went to this place in Nepal from where you can see Mt. Everest.

American Choppers:

I love bikes, I guess most of guys do :) cause they are the symbol of “macho”ism. But this show is not about bikes. As Paul Sr. puts it.

Its not a bike honey, Its a Chopper !

Orange County Choppers shows an amazing display of talent and creativity to build beauties out of raw metal. Plus a sort of human and emotional angle is also thrown in with small conflicts and a bit colourful language, but apart from that I just love to see the machines these guys build.

Out of the machines these guys have build the best I liked was the Black Widow, the Comanche and the fire engine. You can check the machines at their site https://orangecountychoppers.com

Monster House:

This show is all about creativity. Really! These guys take a home, tear it apart and redesign it completely based on a given theme in just 7 days. While the house owners are kept outside the house to be surprised, shocked, amazed, dazzled at the end of 7 days. I like the way these guys think of innovative idea given the situation.

Some of the theme houses I liked from the show were the Hollywood house, the Car racing house, the casino house and the voodoo house.

Great Biker Build off:

Again a show about choppers, but this time it’s a competition between two builders. These guys are given a month to come up with a brand new design for a chopper, build it and ride it to the contest destination, which is normally a motor show. The people do the judging.

Some of the best machines are built by some of the best people in this show. Its truly amazing to see these guys are work.

The few that I find worth mentioning are work by Indian Larry, the Double cross bike and the work by Billy Lane.

The channel also features a lot of reality type shows like The Makeover Story, Cooking for Love, Date Patrol and some cooking shows too. There are a couple of shows dedicated to India also, like Floyd’s India, Cooking with Madhur Jaffery, Indiya etc.

They could surely try to air more new shows apart from the good old shows. Also the reality shows can be curbed a bit. I mean, stuff like Celebrity Sliming, Wedding Story , can surely go !

Over all, this channel has surely made my T.V. viewing enjoyable, entertaining and informative. Beats watching the stupid Sans Bahu soaps anyday !

Keep Watching!
