I booked Tropical Ceylon Travel Agency - Srilanka through Travel Triangle. The chauffeur was a very polite person however he doesn’t speak English or Tamil. It was really hard to make him understand. Also he is new to this job and not familiar with the roads or places in srilanka. On the first day soon after we reached the hotel, I have called and informed the travel agent that we need a different driver since we are finding difficulty talking to him and very clearly asked her to call back to the number I have spoken with her. I never received any response. I saw the same driver waiting for us in the morning and I called the travel agent again. She was arguing saying she called me but not responding but I have not seen any calls. Then with no option I had to inform the travel triangle about it. But the behaviour from tropical Ceylon was really bad. I have attached the email response from tropical Ceylon. Where this company director mentioned that “chauffeur has refused serve them with their unethical requests during the tour therefore I had no way of getting back to Ranshy with her complaints as this is the very first time we have come across with such a client.” I really didn’t understand what she meant by this but i felt very offended. We had stay in 4 hotel. The hotel we stayed in Kandy was not too great. There were renovation going on in this hotel. Also the lock was not working in both our rooms also the phone was not working here. When we informed about this to the Tropical Ceylon they are not ready to accept and asking for the pic as a proof. However, the staffs were very polite. The hotels in Yala and Bentota were really good. But the hotel in Colombo was worst. Since tropical Ceylon asked for the proof, I have attached few hotel rooms and kitchen( where they served breakfast) photos here. Since I have informed the tropical Ceylon about the issue the last day driver was changed. I believe it’s my mistake not informed Tropical Ceylon the first day itself about the issue.
