Pathetic Service

Just wanted to mention the worst ever experience I ever has with any travel site. It was TravelGuru.com!


I wanted to go out of Bangalore for the Aug 15th weekend to Munnar and nothing seem to be available for a stay. I know, my mistake. I should have booked it earlier.


Anyways, I was trying and calling and so I found this site travelguru.com. They claim to be some sort of king in hotel business. So there I found a resort which was available for the 15th night. It was quite a costly one (like Rs 5000 per day). I went ahead and made the booking and I was happy that I received a confirmation mail as well.


However, after 2 days, I thought of calling the resort and see if the booking was confirmed. To my surprise they had no clue that there has been a booking in my name. Their resort was full as others. I called up Travelguru and they asked me to wait for another day.


Another day passed that these people didn’t confirm the booking! Now after 10-15 calls with customer care these stupid travelguru people are telling me that there is no availability and they can cancel my transaction. It took them so long to figure this out? What I am supposed to do now?


I am left with no option!!!! Really pathetic service! Please double check with the hotel/resort you are booking before finalizing your plans. Dont trust the confirmation email from travelguru.
