I have been using Travelguru for almost a year now - being one of the first travel sites, I was impressed with it - till now. I bought a Star Cruise ticket through Travel Guru even though my usual Travel Agent promised me Rs 1000 discount(Total cost was 39 K); The lady who represented stated that if I had a Citibank Card - I will get a cash back of Rs 2500.
I was lured towards that extra 1.5 K and booked through Travelguru. After 45 days and innumerable follow-ups - I am yet to receive the cash back. Nobody is able to respond to my query.
For all the jazz and hype, service levels in India suck - its better that you buy from your travel agent whom you can meet, talk and resolve issues(if they arise) Its unlikely that they will go back on their word if they have promised something.
