I had booked for hotel room in Katra with Travelguru. Their website claimed that its a 4-star hotel whereas when we actually reached the hotel it turned out to be a 3-star hotel. So I decided to call Travelguru’s customer service.
I had to be on phone for atleast 60 minutes(on STD line) before I could speak to a live person in their customer service department. The lady "Sucheta" was completely useless. I told her to cancel my booking so that I could check-in into some other decent hotel but she was blindly narrating the hotel cancellation policy. She promised to call me back at the hotel within 30 minutes after speaking to her supervisor but I received no phone calls.
The next day I called up their customer service again after waiting for another 60 minutes and burning money on the STD bill and spoke to another lady "Kanchan". She was more useless. She told me that she wil speak to the regional managers and call me back at the hotel in 30 minutes but again I received no calls from them.
I was tired of calling these bunch of muppets who made false promises, wasted my money and ruined my stay. I had to stay in this pathetic hotel for 4 days. What a waste! I swear I’m never going to do any hotel bookings via Travelguru. These guys are just cheats!
