Travelguru has been one horrifying experience which just cant be forgotten. I travel very frequently between Delhi and Bangalore, as delhi being my hometown and have done ticket bookings from several other travel sites.but travelguru has been a one hell of an experience. I would not recommend anybody to use travelguru for any of their travel purpose. If it comes out to be a little expensive elsewhere go for it, coz here you dont know what will happen to your money once you have given it to them.
To narrate my experience, I booked a return flight ticket from Bangalore to Delhi(Ref Id: 426379), which I wanted to get rescheduled.
Problem 1: There is no menu option in their IVR which directly takes you to the flight reschedule department. There is no way that a customer can directly call up that department and get their flights rescheduled or cancelled then and there. The only way to initiate this communication is from their side, which they do at their own leisure. And you can just keep waiting and waiting for them to call.
Problem 2: Inspite of repeated reminders through e-mail or phone, nobody bothered to call me for 3 days, which they should have done immediately. After 3 days, when some gentleman finally called me, he was not sure of the new ticket rates etc etc.He promised to call me up again in 5 mins and as I write this review that too never happened.
Problem 3: Because of so much delay in a response from their side, I never got the flight tickets that I wanted at a particular price. Byt the time the guy called me up, those tickets were sold out.Not sure if they do this deliberately, so that there are takers(forced) of their higher priced tickets as well.Ultimately its the customers loss only.
Problem 4: When I got so fed up with this wait to get tickets rescheduled, I finally gave up and called them and e-mailed them again to get my tickets cancelled and refund the amount whatever my booking class is eligible for and that too hasnt happened till now.As per their guidelines, the refund process tkaes around 15 days, but looking at their attitude, I wont be surprised if I dont get my refund at all.
