Went for vacations with my family and booked a hotel through travelguru.com, I was given 100% guarantee on the hotel. Hotel was a 3 star and the condition of the hotel was pathetic
When I went to check-in at the hotel, it was in the worst conditions. Me, being an outsider to Shimla, went in with the ratings and reviews provided on your site and trusting it, but the hotel was no where even close to what was mentioned on your site. The hotel room was filthy with dirty linens and carpets and stinky stuff. Besides it was full of insects, garbage on the floors, feathers were out of the bedding. To top all this the hotel staff was not at all cordial, when we checked for this, all they said was this is how we will find status of all the rooms. I called your customer representative from the hotel itself, and they said they would check as to what they can do. I did not even check-in at the hotel. Since, I went with my family, the only way out I could see was to leave the hotel and look for other option which was being looked up by your customer care representative. There onwards, I made several calls to your customer care hoping they
would provide us with some solution. Apparently, your customer care representative believed the hotel guys and did not trust us.
I already told the customer care representative to cancel the booking or adjust the amount in some other hotel. Neither the amount was refunded nor adjusted. The customer care representative(Prashant/Vinayak) told that they will help us regarding this. But, no help came and we had to return back to Chandigarh.
I expected that what has been shown on the website I will get the same since travelguru is quite trusted brand. But, travelguru could not help and had to return back since I was with females and children, could not compromise security in an unknown city at night.
