Travelguru fraudsters: Cheating and delayed refund

Took cash after blocking my room at Munnar, and after taking cash and giving confirmation, when I asked the hotel manager at Munnar he says he wont honour the booking!!! When I asked travelguru why did they collect cash without booking, they say they will get me another hotel, now if they were to decide that, why should I book through them?? Now the refund has not come 15 days after cancellation(was promised in 5 days), horrible cheaters..

Yes Please, Please give me a refund. This has taught me a tough lesson that travelguru cant be trusted one bit. Since I paid cash on delivery, I would like to know, How will the amount be sent to me? A cheque?

I dont understand there needs to be a delay here. It should either be this way or that...IF there are no rooms then obviously in a minute the hotel should tell you that they cant accommodate me. In that case, please return my money ASAP since I DO NOT need "upgraded" hotel.


But very sad to hear that without blocking the room at hotel, travelguru collects money from people by COD..Very Sad, That means your running a timepass kind of business where you take customtakeouters/vendors for granted, and hence take them for a ride too!!


Pls Let me know ASAP if Grandplaza is possible, if not, pls issue refund ASAP.

I have booked a basic room in GrandPlaza munnar via your site. The cash payment was collected by you on Nov 1st. I also got a confirmation from you(ON nOV 3RD) that the room is booked. Now, the manager of that hotel(Mr.Abse) has written below that he has no rooms. Now your executive Swati Dubey says we will "try" to get you a room in the same hotel, or similar hotel. This is equivalent to cheating. This is not acceptable, I trusted travelguru as a company, and booked/paid cash. After blocking the room & collecting cash, you just cannot deny the room to me. This raises questions about the systems you have in place & the company as a whole.


Think of this scenario: If you were to come into my shop & pay me cash and ask for 22k Gold, and I take the money & then tell you gold is over, I will compensate with 18k gold or an equivalent metal, is that acceptable?? the same is the case with hotels, I think so much before finalising and paying you, and now you make a mockery of my selection?


Pls provide me a reservation in the same hotel, nothing short will suffice...
