*Did a hotel booking through their website using HDFC Credit Card.*
* On exit I found there was an offer for SBI Credit Cards of about R.1000/-. Since I want to get that offer, I thought of canceling the first booking and redo the same hotel booking with SBI Credit Card, I started calling their Toll free number 1800 102 4878, 1800224878 & 40304878. All the numbers were ringing, nobody picked up the phone even when I tried by 8.00 p.m. *
*07.05.2007 Monday*
*Tried calling all their numbers, nobody picked up the phone. Send an SMS also, but no response. Tried to find other numbers from the web, got Ms.Devyani’s Mobile Number called her and told the problem. She said some body will call from the office. After 10 Minutes I got a call from their office . Ms. Amrutha Chawan attended and said she will cancel the Previous Booking and reverse the payment made by HDFC Credit Card. To have the Offer of Rs.1000/- I gave the SBI Credit Card Details over the Phone and she gave confirmation that the hotel is booked and I got the voucher details in Email . I asked for the refund of the HDFC card Payment and** **She confirmed that it is reversed.*
*11.05.2007 Friday*
*By Morning 10.30 A.M. Called the Hotel for confirming. Hotel Management and the staffs said no booking made by travelguru. For stay on 11th to 13th May 2007. *
*Standing in the Airport with My Infant and Child started calling all their numbers for nearly about 30 minutes, nobody picked up the phone. Called Ms.Devyani and told the problem, She said somebody will call from the office. After 5 Minutes got a call from their office and Ms.Amrutha said somebody will call from the hotel and talk to me for confirming. Nobody called me, After 45 minutes I called the hotel and they said now only we got the booking from travelguru. Without having a clear confirmation from the hotel, how did they issued me a confirmation voucher. *
*13.05.2007 *
*Checked out the hotel went for star cruise for 4 days. I thought of coming back to Mumbai, I asked the hotel management to keep some of My luggage and I asked them wether Rooms are available for my return stay from 16th to 18th May 2007. They confirmed the rooms are available and asking me to confirm. Since I had the option of getting Rs.1000/- offer on SBI Credit Card, I said I will book through Travel Guru. *
*Started Calling their office in all the numbers, Continously ringing, nobody picked up the phone. Left Mumbai and I didn’t have any communication facility to confirm because of Ship Journey. *
*15.05.2007 *
*From Lakshadweep, from a third partys mobile paying Rs.10/- per minute, I called their office by 9.10 A.M. nobody picked up the phone . Called Ms.Devyani, explained things and she gave Mr.Shans Mobile Number, I called him and Had Ms.Amrutha online, she checked for the particular hotel and confirmed there is no availability. I explained her the hotel management confirmed that rooms are available. Left Lakshadweep unable to communicate further . *
*16.05.2007.*
*By 4.30 P.M called their office, nobody picked up their telephones. The beauty is that the call will be attended by an auto attendant, after it transfers the call to extension, where no body will pickup the call.*
*Called MR.Shans Mobile Number and got Amrutha online at that time also she said no rooms are available in that hotel and When I aksed for other options, She said for Todays availability rooms are available at the rate of Rs.9000/- Per Day. I said thanks and Kept the phone. *
*Went to the same hotel to pick my luggage and I asked for the room Availability, they said rooms are available and they gave me the room and I stayed there for 2 days and left Mumbai on 18.05.2007 6.00 A.M Only from that hotel .*
*19 05.2007 *
*Came back to my home town, Checked My Mail Box, I found the HDFC Credit Card Statement in My Mail box for the period ending 15.05.2007. My Cancellation with them was on 07.05.2007. There is no refund from them for Rs. 5910.59 till 21.05.2007 and HDFC had asked me to pay the amount within 04.06.2007. *
*Again I started calling all their numbers, nobody picked up the phone, I called Mr.Shan, He said I have to call the office numbers to talk to Ms.Amrutha for refund details. I called Ms.Devyani, explained the Problem, She said she will put me to the CRM Manager. He called me and got all the details and said he will revert back to me by 9.00 P.m. in the evening. Around 3.00 P.M I got a call from their office a Man spoke to me and asked for the details. I explained hime everything and he said he will call me back. He called my by 3.40 P.m and Confirmed that they have not refunded the Money which I paid through HDFC Credit Card, and further he said today they are processing the refund and he said it will take 3 days to get reflect on the Credit Card account. I asked him to send a mail to me what he informed orally.*
* Why Travelguru didn’t refund the money on 07.05.2007 itself, Now I am supposed to pay that amount because if I don’t do then the late payment fee will be charged by the HDFC Bank. If My refund gets credited to my credit card account and if I don’t have an expense made through that credit card in the current month, how do I get the Money from HDFC Bank. *
*I believe the prime communication device for them is telephone and the internet . If their telephones calls are not attended, I don’t know how many people would have suffered like me. .
The whole Message was sent to them as an email to CEO, CMO, service, feedback. Nobody replied for the mail.*
*Abstract is that " Their Telephone calls were never picked up by them starting from 06.05.2007 to 21.05.2007" . I dont Know what is the status now.
*Second, On Cancellation, the payment has to be reversed automatically, Here they never took an effort to refund the payment. After me putting pressure on them, they are saying, it is being processed.
*As on 21.05.2007, I am yet to get the credit from them. *
