Worst Booking Site and Pathetic Customer Service

I booked Willow Hills in Ooty for a long weekend through Travelguru.com. The first time I tried booking, the payment was successfully deducted from my card but the hotel room was not booked. Then I called up their customer service to know the reason and they responded saying that there was some technical glitch and they are working on fixing it. Meanwhile I can do my booking through phone using IVR facility. I followed their advice and did the payment for the second time through phone. They immediately sent me an email saying the booking is confirmed.


Here comes the interesting part. I get a call from Travelguru exactly after 6 days to tell me that the hotel has not confirmed my booking. When I asked that why did they wait for so long, they responded saying that it takes time to handle so many requests and they can’t do anything about it. I am really frustrated with such a casual and devil may care attitude of this website. They have already spoiled my vacation plans since I am not able to get any good hotel at decent rates now. Please avoid using Travelguru. Its all a bunch of agents trying to make money without providing any decent service or any responsibility for the inconvenience they cause.
