Stay away from them! You have been warned!

Recently I used their Chennai branch for visa application and dealt with one Mr. Jeyakumar.  I was given a receipt for an expedited process based on the amount on their website and I told them that I would pay after visa process.  It all seemed fine.  But then after the expedited period was over, I got a call from him saying that since my passport was renewed in a foreign country, I have to pay Rs. 3000 more.  Apparently they had already paid the money and got the visa.

It was so obvious that it was a lame excuse to swindle some money.  I categorically told no and when I went to collect the passport, he wasn’t there but his colleague was holding my passport as ransom, saying that he wouldn’t give it unless I pay the additional amount.  I told him that I will pay if he can give me an official receipt mentioning that reason and show me on their website or the embassies website if this was mentioned.  Also I told him that I would go to consumer court, post an online review and take it with the Passport authority that they were holding the property of Indian government illegally, even after I paid the initially agreed fees per the receipt.  Then he came down to Rs.1500 and I stood by my position and eventually he releted.

So, Trawellday lost another customer and the little reputation that they had left.  Don’t fall for all that ISO crap you see mentioned on their website.

Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere!
