Tribal Museum of Koraput is in a pretty remote place in the State of Odisha where I visited few years ago with my family on a organised tour. It is not so big but looks impressive in its traditional architectural style. It has few collections of ancient coins, weapons, armour, carved ivory, wooden pieces and stone carved statues but it is worth to visit because of witnessing absolutely new and different things.
The collections depicts its old and traditional cultural values which reflects their skill in art, music, paintings and even in fighting as well. The collections also include gems and stones and wooden jewellery which depict the ornaments style of tribal people of this part of India. The hard steel metallic collections of swords and spears depict their warlike traditions. You will also find some minor hunting tools which they used for animal and birds hunting purpose. It is a complete collection to present the tribal culture of this part of India which has its own importance and unique experience. Photography and video recording inside the gallery is strictly prohibited.
