I am Chevrolet Aveo UVA owner who was pretty happy with her car till I was getting it serviced in Mumbai. Things got worse when I moved to B’lore and banked on 2 authorized Chevrolet service centers - Kropex & Trident, I started with Kropex, but realized they do minimal efforts on my car and every time post servicing one or other major defect comes out shelling big amount from pocket.Things got to an extent where I normalized bill sent for 28000 to 12000 INR. Icing on the cake was when they asked 8.5k for battery replacement( which I replaced in 2.5k from outside.
So I decided to move to another’Authorized’ dealer - Trident. I was hoping that these guys will be better but it was even worse. They had poor communication and yet again cost me 12.5k for servicing+ car cleaning( My daily cleaner cleans better) and waxing. On day of delivery they calls me saying a part has to be changed which will cost additional 5k and will take 2days, When I argued long on how that part could go wrong all of a sudden, they checked again and told me all is fine and it was wiring mistake. I still being resistive to local garages, thought atleast Car would work well now - But to my surprise Car was giving big problems in starting. I called them back, later they said they cleaned all parts again and sent car back with 700 Rs bill. I felt now it would be all good and then again.starting gone worse than ever, so much that we need people to push it. They Trident people told me to change Starter+ Flywheel costing 16000 approx. I asked will it solve the issue and response was "It should mostly.we don’t see any other issue". But I was now reluctant to pay more and checked over net. I finally called in help from Automative Garage( Local) and in 5mins he told me issue and in 5hrs fixed it with bill of just 2.5k.
So now I realized how my fear of local garages actually got me in trap of these so called "Authorized" dealers who either don’t know issues or create issues in car to make you go bankrupt and hate your car.
