I live in electronic city and own a Hyundai Accent. I got it serviced from Trident Hyundai 30 days earlier and have done about 1000 Kms since then. The car was running fine. On Saturday evening while returning from Madivala (best place for vegetables) I noticed car started jerking whenever I accelerated. The power dropped as well and car was barely able to do 80kmph. I am pretty enthusiastic about maintaining my car and generally do not spare any expenses. I went to a local Garage in electronic city and had him take a look. After checking up my car he advised me to have fuel filter changed. He also said changing spark plugs to performance plugs along with fuel filter will fix this once and for all. He didnt had the spare parts with him and advised me to come on Tuesday as hell go to JC road and purchase the parts. I said OK and came back home. Now me being me... I couldnt wait till Tuesday to have my "Darla" (Yes!! thats what I call my car) fixed.
On Sunday, around noon I couldnt help myself and I drove to Trident Hyundai. The place was pretty deserted to my amazement as I expected a lot of cars as it being Sunday. A notice said the service center will open only till 5:00 pm on Sundays. I met with an advisor and told him I want spark plugs and fuel filter changed. He said No problems, just wait for 10 mins I am going for lunch will come back and well take care of this. I waited for 30 mins when the advisor didnt show up I went and asked the other service person. He flatly refused, no sir we cannot take anymore cars today, please come on monday (his name was Srikanth). I said Ive been waiting for 30 mins you shouldve told this to me earlier. I demanded to see the other service advisor who told me that this will be fixed, He came and said his senior has told him that we cannot take anymore cars in for service today. I said OK think about this, My car is not running at all and if you dont fix it I am not able to go anywhere. what will you do. The guy said sir well advise you to come tomorrow. I said OK gimme the parts and Ill have it added somewhere else. He said no sir its against our policy. I wanted to say so much and really give them a piece of my mind, I decided otherwise. But this raises serious questions about the attitude of the service people of trident. I think Shrikanth needs to buy a car himself (Which will take him another 30-40 years I m sure). Then when he is given this reply I am sure hell understand. Shame on you Shrikanth for screwing up your company and brand you represent.
