I returned to Patna after three years and was surprised to see so many new stores, shops, parlors that have opened. The visit was special as my sister was getting married. I was looking for a place for bridal makeup booking. That is when a lot of people recommended Trikaya stating that it is the best one in Patna. So I visited Trikaya, which is located on the main road itself, opposite to Harihar Chamber(a popular shopping complex in Boring Road). The rates were quite high compared to other parlors.
There were two options in bridal makeup, one was normal and the other one was Airbrush. They had photographs of other brides, which helped us to make a decision. The normal one was for Rs. 6500 and Airbrush costed Rs. 8000. We wanted the best makeup that would last for a really long time, so we booked a session for Airbrush.
Apart from that there were other things too like Bridal Makeup, my Sister got the O2 whitening facial which was for Rs. 3500. I don’t have much knowledge about bridal facials, but I believe they should have taken more time. The facial got over in just 90 minutes, even normal facials take more time as it requires a lot of massaging. Anyways, according to my Sister, her skin felt softer so I guess it served the purpose. We didn’t take anything else. Pedicure and Manicure were for Rs. 600 each, which you can easily get in other parlors for half the price.
On the day of the wedding, we decided to go early, it is always preferable to be early than be late for your own wedding. We arrived at 1:00 pm, the booking was done in advance and they took Rs. 1000 for that. The makeup artist in charge was there, things were smooth in the beginning. There was a room designated for bridal makeup. It was quite small though. Anyways so the makeup started and we asked them for light makeup cause my Sister didn’t want loud or bold makeup for wedding. It was pretty quick, I mean the makeup was done in 2 hours. After that came hair styling, which was included in the package. For hair styling she had to go the main area were other customers were there. It would have been much better if styling too was done in the private room where they did the makeup. Anyways the hair stylist was an absolute pro, he paid attention to everything that we said. It is not like he did his own thing. My Sister had a particular look in her mind and he was able to perfectly execute it. Remarkable work done by the makeup artist and the hair stylist. Then they did the draping of the dupatta. Superb work done by those guys, I highly recommend this parlor for makeup.
One big problem with this place is that of space. Because of their splendid service, the parlor is abuzz with customer all through out the day. The other thing is that for bridal makeup and hair styling they should designate a proper room, instead of making the bride move around. I guess that’s it, because I can’t think of another con as such.
Pros are plenty: amazing service, customer-oriented employees who pay attention to the needs of the customer, responsive management and justifiable rates. Apart from a few glitches here and there, everything else was awesome.
