I am sure - Almost everybody these days uses some kind of messenger service for chatting with the friends online through Internet, like yahoo, msn, ICQ etc.
These days I am using a new messenger, although it is not very new since it has been here for almost 4 years now, but yeah - I have started using it just 3-4 months ago and I am quite happy with what this new messenger is offering.
Trillian Messenger :
Trillian messenger is a product of Cerulean Studios and Cerulean Studios was founded in May of 1998 by Kevin Kurtz and Scott Werndorfer. The first version of Trillian was released on July 1, 2000. They have an office in Connecticut, USA.

The best part of this new messenger is that you could be online from multiple account, i.e. If you have two or more accounts with Hotmail or yahoo, you could stay online with both the id’s. There is no limit of id’s used on this messenger.
By the looks of it - it is far better than the Old Age look of Yahoo or MSN Messenger and it offers some good functions like copying and pasting from chat windows is very easy - all you have to do is just select the material you want to copy and it would be copied automatically, all you have to do is go to the destination where you want to paste it and just right click and say paste - that’s it.
One more good function about Trillian is that you can chat with multiple friends in a single window and you don’t have to jump from one window to other.
Activity History : Wherein you can save all your chats into a particular location, this is available on all the versions almost but there is no limit of saving the chats.
All other basic services like File Transfer, Multiple Chat window, Web Cam, Skins, Pluggins, Your personal Pics etc are also available.
