Triplicane? people just say rant Cafe SAMBAR! Some just drool over the name. But is it even worth it? The restaurant is located in a very crowded area and a narrow road. Yes its a’High Road’ but has totally unregulated traffic and narrow vehicle moving area. It takes forever for you to reach the place and find suitable parking. There is no such assigned parking area, but you can use the road side area to park your 2 wheelers. There is valet parking for 4 wheelers but the valets have a very reluctant attitude.
The ambience is so not pleasing. They have Air conditioned and Non Air conditioned eating areas. Both are mostly untidy and filthy. Why bare it all for the sambar? And coming to the food(most important part) it is served like how it is usually served in any eat outs on the road side. Now don’t get me wrong, THIS ISNT A ROAD SIDE SHOP. But the way they serve you is similar. Atleast their attitude and crowd management. The customer service is pathetic. After all this when you think of the taste, its just NORMAL. It tastes just like the simple sambar that we make at home added with some amino moto and jaggery. The prices are not worth the taste or product.
