I tried online tutoring for 3 months, and it was a very bad experience. The person who gave us the orientation gave us all the wrong leads, and was thoroughly confused. The platform itself was very bad, the white board had serious malfunctions, and the staff and students stole edited and written copy while the sessions were on. All the students I taught were compulsive liars, cheats and of very poor quality.
They would ask management questions ( I was an English teacher). Most students would bully into doing the entire HW. My coordinator was an MCP and started writing all irrelevant messages that were of no importance. The hourly rate and utilisation rate was all messed up, and they made it a point to pay less.
The whole team, obviously from Delhi, a pathetic place for any venture, deserve to be fired. The hours were long and we were encouraged to take sessions beyond our nightly hours. The students were very cruel and staff was worse. Never try this at home!!!!
