Truecaller is a Caller ID app claims itself to be useful to identify caller name. Besides, it also has a spam blocking feature ( false) and UPI payment system ( worthless) . I have been using this app for a long time and it is still useless as before.
Caller ID identifier: Truecaller claims itself to be the world’s best Caller ID identifier which is not true at all. It shows that name of the caller which is saved by another person on the app. Thus if the caller’s name is not saved at Truecaller, you cannot identify. I have faced similar problems which is very unpleasant. The image of the number being not identified is given below.
Sms blocking feature: Its sms blocking feature is also a waste. It didnot block any sms or call at all even if I had switched on this feature on the app. Hence my readers, I request you to not fall for prey watching its feature in google playstore.
Payment system: The UPI system within the app lacks security. Unless I logout, the app keeps me logged in the UPI system, which makes your bank details vulnerable to thievery.
Call history backup: The latest updated version of Truecaller says it helps to create backup of call history and sms on Google Drive. The idea is very unclear and useless as the most of the phones possess inbuilt backup feature there is no need of Truecaller to do it.
At the end I conclude saying the app doesnot good at those features which it has been advertising. I request to my readers that donot fall prey to the trickery of the app as I do not recommend it to anyone.
