Shifted from Powai to Seawood in Mumbai this December. Happy with TrueWay packers and movers.
Before trying anything, I have a habit of going through online reviews and comparing service providers. I had found that TrueWay is also providing packers & movers services. I checked some reviews on google and Quora, but got confused. There were all mixed reviews.
I also checked locally but I was running short of time as I had only 4 days to shift. My rental agreement was about to expire and I had to shift before the month-end. I just checked for some other local shifting services but they all the reviews were horrible. And there were too many local companies, so I didn’t know how to choose from them. I had to call them one by one, explain my inventory and take the quotation. It was a tiring process. So, now I was really confused and I had limited time at hand.
People also recommended Agarwal packers and movers but they were very expensive.
I thought of giving TrueWay a try. I went to their website and booked a slot for the dates I wanted to move. Their website was user friendly. They asked me to select the size of my house which decided the pricing. I paid 3k in advance and had chosen my slot of 9 am. The remaining amount was to be paid after packing At loading point).
I got a call in 1-2 hrs from TrueWay executive. He explained everything to me in a very lucid manner and I started feeling a bit relieved as he sounded concerned and knowledgeable. He again confirmed my inventory on the phone. I learned that:
They note down minute details, so there is no scope of price escalation later.
They only assign the work to highest rated shifting companies. So no need to talk to multiple companies.
The charges were less compared to what I had found from other companies.
They provide free cancellation.
They provide insurance for the items.
There is no need to pay tips to shifting people.
They sounded very professional. TrueWay also assigns a movement manager who became my single point of contact. I didn’t have to deal with the vendor. So, this is all I needed.
I was ready for the shifting day. I must agree it was a tiring task both emotionally and physically. Before I woke up, I got a call from my movement manager that the shifting guys will be late by 1hr. I started to get apprehensive but the movement manager assured me to not worry. The shifting guys had taken a wrong route and hence got delayed.
Shifting guys were professional. They had brought enough cartoons and bubble wraps to pack everything properly. They also wore masks and had brought hand sanitizers.
Whenever you shift make sure of the following: Write on the cartons the things inside them(like clothes, show pieces etc.). Believe me this helps a lot later.
At the destination, the shifting guys helped me in unpacking and keeping things in a proper way. I appreciate the way they coordinated and managed things professionally. It took around 7 hours to complete the entire movement.
So, if somebody asks me, I will give TrueWay Packers and Movers full marks for their shifting services.
