Another awful book.

Some of the publishers these days are churning out trashes as fast as Bollywood heroines change from sarees to bikinis these days.

The only plus points of these books are that they are cheap, come at less than Rs. 100/- each and so even if you throw it off into the waste basket after a few pages you don’t really curse the fellow who sold you the book.

This one is about a starlet, who has been used and abused by a lot of men and so she thinks all men are ’bastards’. It is an Indianian version of Mills and Boon, the novel does not offer anything new in the terms of the story or characters. There is little humor though and the usage of foul language will certainly atract some readership.

Though I really shouldn’t be comparing, but the only novel of this genre in recent times I really enjoyed reading is titled, ’Jab se you have loved me... the story of an Airhostess and an IITian.’ I wonder why this book has not come up in bestsellers’ list as yet when these books, ’Trust Me, ’ ’Oh, shit! Not again’, ’Johnny Gone Down’ are on the top of the charts.

So, about ’Trust Me’, you can surely give it a miss and buy an ice-cream with the money instead.
