I took their honeymoon package and requested them to provide a room with a good view. They promised me the same, but when I went their, I was shocked. It was a very small room with no view at all. But we can’t blame the hotel staff for the same as they just have 2 rooms in the entire hotel which have any view. The rooms which they call as deluxe or deluxe+ are nothing but standard rooms or budget rooms whatever you can call them.
After my complaint they gave me room 206 which was a bigger room with a reasonable view. The climb down to MG Road is short but not advisable for old people, as the stairs are all broken and filthy. The worst part of the hotel is their manager "Reshma", she is arrogant and rude. They booked me a taxi for local sight seeing, the car was Spark # SK04 0098, and driver Mr. Rajen. That driver is an idiot and knows only how to cheat customers. It is more advisable to book taxi yourself, which I tried and really found a good driver Mr. Passang, Ph: +91-9832359321.
On the last day when our driver Mr. Passang came to pick us from our hotel, he contacted Reshma for our details. She told him to get out of the hotel and wait there. After this she was not even kind enough to tell us that our driver has come. May be she was upset that we got our own driver. The other day I heard her shouting at some guest as he was requesting for breakfast at 10:15 am when the time is till 10am. But why to shout? She is an arrogant lady as she has been empowered by some big-shot in Sikkim who owns that hotel.
In the honeymoon package we got the dinner with various varieties of veg and non veg delicacies. But sadly the cook in this hotel tries a bit too hard to make the food delicious, but he is not good at all. Even the road side dhabas in North India prepare more yummy food. Poor guy, but may be he is good in preparing local dishes only.
Overall the hotel stay was poor thanks to the guests who always kept shouting at each other in the corridor. Also, the lights in the corridor were coming inside as they have big glass at the top of the wall. This didn’t allow me to sleep well, and finally the rat in the room 206. He never allowed us to keep anything to eat in our room.
