These guys opened a shop in Hirandani gardens, Powai, Mumbai sometime back. I called up and dropped by. They have nice interiors.
But they don’t know the first thing about hair styling. After years of having a trim every three weeks, you get an idea of a good hair stylist just by seeing how they hold their tools (trimmer etc). This fella starts trimming by using the trimmer upside down straight , which is wrong both ways (trimmer orientation and direction).
For a moment there, I believed it was really upmarket and must be a different way of doing things. One more minute and I realized the guy was totally incompetent. He did an uneven cut, assymetric cut, messed up the back, messed up the lengths, and left too many hair with full length despite using a trimmer.
I complained as soon as I left the store but nobody responded. I wrote to them but no response. Nobody called to apologize. Hair styling is not a business where apologies can help. These guys are unprofessional to the core. Never step in if you don’t want to spoil your next one month.
In Mumbai, Juice is the place. These guys recently changed their name to Tukk Salon to escape bad customer opinion around TUC.
