It has been a long while I have not written anything on this site.As a Turk I should have written this review earlier on however, as I read the reviews of the others I have been able to see the aspects of visitors’ and will be able to comment on them as well while expressing my own opinions. I wont state the touristic features of the country;people have already mentioned it.The general situation of the country and the attitude and lifestyles of the residents I will put emphasis on...
In the reviews people have mentioned the hospitality and sincerety of the local public.Well it should be known that this results from the fact that tourists, especially foreign ones, are a fine and great source of money and the unique way to achieve it is to be kind and decent;thats a universal fact not only valid in Turkey. However its easy to say that Turkish people manage it better than the other countries’ residents(I have been in Italy; no hospitality there for instance). Local boys, as mentioned in a review, are looking forward to date or such stuff with the tourists thats right;well in a Muslim country its always easy to have a relation with the tourists from the Western countries since they are much less preservative than the local girls.
Its always easier for the tourists to pick the vision of the country which have been offered them in the touristic places. Its an obvious fact that the places mentioned, Bodrum, Kuşadası, Altınkum etc, are favourable just because they are in the west, are generally hot and sunny, and are located on the seaside with the sea in a lovely condition with thoroughly sand based, smooth and clear... However I can easily tell and assure you that when it comes to natural beauties, this part of the country is the worst. While the most beautiful colour of green can be found in the northern part on the Blacksea coast with vast in amount and countless hues, its exactly sparse in the western part of the country. Sounds weird but seems reasonable when u take the hot weather compared to the north and the sea more calm and with a higher quality, the sand base compared to the stony base of the north seas.
You better be aware of the souvenirs and the goods sold in those kind of places that, they are generally imported and purchased from Istanbul and many of them dont have any speciality except some of the carpets and rare stuff like that.
You may not be able to travel easily to the other parts of the country because not many tours available or because of the unknown and unpredictable nature of their touristic structure. However I will strongly recommend you to travel especially to the northtern part to see the world’s most wonderful natural beauties which will enchant u and spin your head around. I bet the sunset in Blacksea could never be seen on any other part of the world!! I mean it! If ur interested in the historical compund and beauties you could easily find them in the other parts of the country even much more.
