I Got my TVS Apache on January 2007. I have done around 8500 KM. It gives me around 45-50 KM/L.I will list out all the good and bad about my bike.
Good Things...
- Riding comfort is very good. Handling the bike is very easy.
2. Regarding reliability, It never breakdown till now(its almost 20 months over....It never troubled me while my journey). The break system both front(disk) and the rear are very good. If I apply both the breaks together, It will stop with in a meeter of distance, If the speed is between 30-40 KM.
Regarding millage... its ok. it gives around 45 to 50 KM/L. (with 150 CC bike, I cant expect more than that....even pulsar, unicorn is approximately the same.).
Look and feel of the bike is also good......
Bad things....
It will vibrate , if I cross 50 KM speed. which is very bad. I had experience with bajaj discover & pulsar too. There is no vibration even after 70.
Gear shifting is always a problem. Some times you know what happen...to change the gear I will apply clutch and press down the gear lever, It wont fall, I have to release the clutch slightly and press down the gear liver. Then only it will go to next gear. And some times it will fall on false neutral also.
No pickup at all......Its just like riding a 100 CC bike. ( I used Splendor previously....its almost like the same....might be a bit more than that. Even 3 years old pulser will have a better pickup than a new apache).
I dont know about new Apache RTR/FI..... My advice is better go for Discover/Pulsar/Hunk.......If good bikes are available in the market......We cant we go for that...And why to purchase a worthless bike for 62000 rupees. Let the TVS company compare their bikes with other company models and let them release good bikes......
