Not so good

This bike is styled as race bike but not a very usable commuters bike. Also there are problems with the,

  1. Gear shift

  2. Uneven acceleration - This thing almost killed me thrice - Have you ever come across a acceleration which is not controlled by you! it suddenly revs up when I’m idle at the signal or when I’m riding & sometimes it goes blank when I need the power most! like when when you are crossing the road & suddenly after a few feet you discover the bike is not moving forward but the traffic is coming right at you!!

This problem was attended by service people by changing the fuel inliner, carburretor, fuel pipe. But still its there the bike when put on the stand revs upto 2500rpm to 900rpm on its own in front of the sales people but you see nobody from service was there to see and for TVS the problem must be witnessed by the TVS service person.

  1. Ignition problems - When put the key inside the meter responds if it feels like or may respond at all!

May be the problem is in the wiring, switch, battery or whatever the servicing people have not able to solve these problem for 1 year now & I’m fed up of that; so I’m going to sell this bike which has done only 1170kms in almost a year its been with me.(of which 282kms was used by TVS service dealer for testing) I’m buying a new FZ16

for my rx100 done more than 130000kms & I changed its

chain cover, Battery, chain, clutch wire only once during the entire period of 16years its still with me.

I thought this Apache rtr can be my new bike but the response from TVS service team is very poor in Pune, may that is the reason why we dont see rtr even 100:1 in the new bikes. It is visually appealing but not quality workmanship in any department.
