Done 65000km on apache 150cc since 2006 . major spares replacement list
1) both tyres with tube @ 35000km , brake liner replaced every 5-7k km
2) full chain set @ 40000km (rs.1000)
3) clutch cable thrice , front fork oil thrice , disc brake oil change twice
4) spark plug once , ignition key
5) battery twice , capacitor once ( rs.550 ). did periodic servicing every 4000km . all electrical and bulbs working fine .after driving more than 65000 km on this bike, the thing that hurts most is the suspension, very hard . your back bears all the brunt , the bike behaves as if it has no suspension. not good for long journey .need to change the gears frequently and shifting down is clutter, gear often jams during downshift . acceleration is good , top speed reached is 100kph , average fuel consumption 42-45kmpl , paid servicing cost inclusive engine oil , oil filter approx rs.600 , service guys arent well trained, spares are generally available at authorized service centers only .
No doubt the bike is very unstable at high speed , front tyres have very poor grip (better go for ceat tyre). different tyre profile (90/90 17" front and 100/90 18" rear not helpful ), skid easily when brake hard or in rainy season , be careful . not easy to find 90/90 tyre in open market . brake line wear off early same with front disc bush too. head lamp illumination is average, horn is shrill and irritates you more than other riders , handling is avg cornering in speed is risky, stock exide batteries dont run long, seat too short for two, engine is noisy . at end will advice that only hardcore apache fan should go for it else better look for honda unicorn , cbz xtreme , pulsor NS /150/180 as good alternative .
