Value for money...She's a beauty!

Hi Guys,

Am back... in my last review (which many complained that it was not like a review) I had written more abt the looks of the bike than how it performs. Now here are a few things that I would like to add.

My bike has done 1500 kms, and I had

given it for the first free service at 1000 kms. Few points I would like to state here is,

  • Gear shifting is a bit easy no! But initially there were problems when shifting from the 3rd to 2nd gear... and then again to neutral

  • I feel that MRF tyres would have been a better option than TVS tyres (which the company provides), coz, once when I was strolling at 60 kmpl, I had to apply the brakes, when all of a sudden... the bike just skid (It was raining too, but still the control had to be better)... I didnt even expect this. Not satisfied with the TVS tyres though...

  • A stand indicator can be included, coz many a time I forget to remove the stand, and look down just to check whether I have removed the stand or not!

These were some of the things that I felt uncomfortable with... now to tell abt some of the good things that I noticed in the bike...

  • The bike starts so very easily in the morning, I mean, without much throttle, the noise of the engine sounds good (In the previous bike that I had, I had to start some 3-4 times before it had a good idling sound)

  • After the first service, gear shifting is much easier, and there is no problem whatsoever! (thanks to the good service provided by Lotus Agency, Coimbatore)

  • The bike has an exceptional pick up, and can zoom to 60 km in close to 4-5 sec. I did’nt feel a single vibration at 80 km, and was in full control of the bike (Guess she’ll be easy to handle till 95 km) beyond which, I dont think she’ll have the control. Also from 80 km she stops flat in 3-4 sec (Trust me guys...She does stop)

  • The TVS horse logo on the handle bar is something innovative, and gives a stunning appearance while driving. Also, the red background for the instrument panel appears bright at night, giving a feeling that the road is flooded with lights!

  • The suspension is damn damn good, and I don’t feel much tiredness even after driving 60 kms a day. The rear suspension (the gas shox) does not live upto the expectations, and is much more harder. Where as the front suspension is like heaven... I dont feel even a jerk!

  • The rider seat is so damn sexy, and is placed such that the rider is sitting in a pit. I felt it so comfortable with the seats. Also, the sitting posture is just teriffic (I compared the sitting posture with pulsar and unicorn, and I felt comfortable with the Apache)

  • Mileage wise, I get 52-55 kmpl, and its ok taking into consideration the weight, the instant acceleration and above all...the SEXY DAMN looks!

Guess these few tips would be of some help to U guys who are planning to buy the Apache! If U ask me, I’d say..."Jus go ahead". Happy driving.
