From the time of Tvs Suzuki collaboration itself , I am a skeptical fan of Suzuki. and when TVS started man its own bikes ...i had numerous ques arising within me in the company’s potential to compete against Hero Honda, Pulsar and Yamaha(?!).
The Apache RTR 160 is the fastest bike in "within 160 cc" segment. I drive a Passion plus, which has a moderately decent torque and hence a decent pick up in first 2 gears, and when I test drove the RTR; oh my god...what an acceleration...just awesome..I ve driven P-150, Extreme and Unicorn too..but none can match its pick up...A guaranteed first in any signal.
In terms of top speed to they claim it to be the highest..but of course I cant check that out in a test ride..but I could feel the waiting power when I was in 5th gear at 50 km/h..it had a lot more power left than the xtreme or any other bike in the segment.
Awesome styling with techno features makes it a smashing bike altogether.the price too is around 63, 400(ex-Chennai) which is competitive to P-150 and extreme.
A great bike and a potential P-180 dethrone!! go for it if u want style with substance...Its Now or Never
