Its Now OR Never

I was lookin to buy a bike in the 150CC. My choices were the Honda Unicorn and the TVS Apache ( I wish CBZ was still available!!!!!!!!!!) Pulsar wasnt in contention due to its common appearance everywhere and its handling (which I found heavy compared to both the Unicorn and the Apache, even though it weighs teh same as apache)

When I heard abt CBZ xtreme being launched I was hoping that it would be an as good looker as its preddecessor ... but alas its styling didnt suit my taste at all.

So I was back to my two original choices. Unicorn has a better engine and gearbox (Its honda after all) . But Apache had my heartbeat thumping. Unicorn has this uncanny ability to look like an uncle’s bike. But apache had all the smooth curves and no jarring graphics + the red color looked just perfect on it.

To decide between the two I had to take a test ride on both. the results

Unicorn felt mor powerful and refined BUT

Apache in short ...felt PERFECT!!!

Theres no special reason why one should buy it. Only reason you should buy it is you love it

For people really wanting reasons

  • more than enough power

  • Max flickability in traffic when compared to pulsar, unicorn

  • Amazzzzzzzzing looks

So I finally booked an Red Apache and got it....

After using it for a few days the only problem I feel is a bit on the gear shiftin side

i do encounter a few false neutrals every now and then.

But apart from it everything feels perfect

will keep you all posted about further developments as well as the mileage factor

Guys its giving me a mileage of 49-52kmpl. not bad at all I feel.

it can zip thru traffic... leave others behing when the signal goes greeen and provides a goood comfortable ride.

the gearbox has bcome smoother...though I still prefer the unicorn gearbox.

the handling and stability is something I loved...still unbeatable in that aspect.
