I own Apache bike for past 2 weeks and previously I owned a TVS Victor. Just went to it for its looks alone. So am satisfied with the looks. The first problem was, am a 6ft tall guy and the seating position was not at all comfortable to change gears and position my legs properly. So, please be careful before you choose this model if you are tall. But to overcome this, I have added more cushion to the driver’s seat and increased the height by atleast 2.5 inches.
Thats ok now to drive. Also, am not ok with the suspension especially the rear one was very hard and I already requested the service guy to smoothen it. Even after it is still hard if I drive alone without pillion rider. And, its got all the problems which all the other TVS models(Victor atleast) got . The gear box is the worst one I have ever seen.
The gears always stuck when I tried to change it from 2nd gear to 3rd gear and vice versa. I will have to mention it when I go for the first service and correct it.Also, the engine might switch off if you go slow in the top gears. As the previous guy mentioned, the self start won’t work sometimes. Then, the its got lots a jerks in the front side and acknowledged by the TVS service guy. He told me that he will correct it in the first service. But, still I love the bike for its look and the special paint used.
