I bought a TVS Apache 150cc a year ago at my native (Madurai). I took that to Chennai as I am working here. I have never had a ride with Apache as none of my friends were having Apache. So initially after I buy, I felt very much comfortable with all its performance. After a month I started feeling bad for why buying this vehicle. Its not that all Apache is not good. The bike which I have has some major problems where it still yet to be solved. When I had a ride with my other chennai friend Apache, I was able to feel a lot of difference.
My Apache engine is not having the desired grear speed. When we give throttle, it does not move to its speed. Before I reach 4-50, I am forced to switch to 5th gear. If I give more throttle, the vehicle starts vibrating all over its body and engine. I gave this complaint to the service person right fom the 1st service. Now, all the free service is over, but still the problem exists. Also, even if I travel within 5km, I am able to sence boiling smell from the engine. I mailed all my problem to TVS, but they are not in a position to help me out. They just replied me asking for my bike details. Then no reply.
My view, is Apache is an average bike. You cannot expect a good mileage. Performace is intermediate. You can go for someother bike if you are going to buy paying full cash.
