I am writing this review after taking 4 months research about this bike. It is a well tested bike. I got Autocar apache CD yesterday. In that TVS is telling that Apache have undergone more than 1000 track tests by various experts and the engine is very refined and the engine have undergone more than 1000 tests under various tough situation and it have proven its reliability. Finally the TVS racing team and R&D together involved in the whole development of the bike and they produced well engineered and well tested APACHE. The tyers of apache was developed by TVS
racing team to guarantee on any surface and the tyre is tested under various dry and wet places.
The fiero has a problem it is little skiddy in rainy situations. TVS solved this by developing a tyre to get better grip on dry and wet places. The design developed by TVS is such that is flick able in city traffic and great straight line stability. U may wonder how a bike gets good straight line stability with a short wheel base. But it is not only the fact of long wheel base. A bike will get good straight line stability if its weight distribution is proportioned very well. In Apache the weight distribution is excellent and well proportioned so we will get great flick ability and straight line stability. The bike is guarantee to ride better in any hard and rough roads. The main negative I heared from this bike it its vibrations. TVS said that it will disappear after long ride. It has got better mileage, pickup and acceleration as compared to its competition also it have beaten all the four stroke bikes in India in quarter mile dragging(including P 180, Karizma, Comet 250 in speed run 2006). But this is not stock apache, it is highly moded apache(around 16 bhp of power after moded). Forgot to mention that its clutch is excellent for racing.
Some feature of apache: Engine kill switch, Any gear start, low end torque, MIG, black alloys etc. It is loaded with features. About 24 new bikes coming this year by various manufactures. I will buy this Apache by next week and will write very detailed review about this bike including pones and corns. Comments welcome.
