Apache-Great Bike.Now or Never

Friends,

Its really nice to be a part of mouthshut.com.Guys I use to drive RX 100 and u all know that once someone drives RX 100., he never really feels to drive anyother bike..I owned the beast for 5 years. And then as I had topped in my engineering exams, my father promised me to buy a new bike. He wanted to know what my choice was. But this

decision could not be taken hastily as I had to buy the best bike.My choice was obviously the 150 cc bikes.I had narrowed down 3 choices.

The pulsar

Unicorn and

TVS Apache

Pulsar is a realy a very nice bike, but guys there are more pulsars thn people in any city , and its very common bike. now guys tell me where do u stand amongst the

common bikes.even a small kid to old granpa has a pulsar.I think pulsar needs o be a given a big break. Also I had driven by friends bike and I had a wristache from pulsar and also backahe.so I ruled out Pulsar.

Unicorn was like unkicorn, more uncle type. what a shame by honda for giving us such unclish looks bike for a heavy price. That thouroughly sums that we are a merely a dump , a sluggish market for uncle type bike.cummon guys we need style.

Then I was impresed by TVS Apache.but I made a lot of reseach before taking this. bike.I read each and every review on this mouthshut website.I also did a lot of test drives in different TVs showrooms.I also asked them for a old TVS Apache.I was realy impressed by this bike.I even tested the bike for a vibration problem, but I did not feel any

vibes.I think TVS company have rectifid the vibration problem.

I finally got my TVS Apache on 5th September and I can really say that I am a proud owner of this Magnificant vehicle., I have done about 1500 KM till now and all I can say

that I am riding thru the roads just like knife rolls over butter.

Here is a brif of my 1500 kms ride with Apache

Here is a brief about Apache;

Pros: Classy looks, It looks Amazing. Onlookers just gaze onto this bike., Performance, smooth riding, very good customer service .just wait and watch when ur in trafik.

people are bound to see this beast.People Alway ask u how much mieage is the bike giving. and I love when people say" look TVS Apache" .

On the face of it, the Apache has a unique, stocky, but muscular design. It looks a damsel fairy has been chiseled by the TVS. The most striking part of the bike is

undoubtedly the front, with its broad headlamp cluster and the cowl, which together act as a kind of introduction to the Apache’s design. The Apache’s designers have toiled

to give the bike clean lines that merge and seemingly manage to offer one of the most streamlined front sides amongst the big bikes. It gives a impression that it a ports

bike,

Cons:   As in the case of Karizma, TVS could have added Digtal speedometer and trip meter. and also a side stand indicator.TVS could have alos given a option for flat

seats.Seats are hard but they can be made soft by third party seat makers.Brakes are no doubt the best, but it could have been better. My Apache comes to Halt from 40-0

in 9 metres flat. But as we all know that nothing on this earth is perfect, but TVS is closer to perfection. Also on wet roads the tyres can skid if not driven carefully.

Engine and Handling :As you all must be aware tht TVS racing team is dominating our domestic racing circuit, so a lot of R&D is gone for this bike. I have heard a lot about

Apache Vibrating at higher speed, but trust me guys the new batch of Apache’ had this problem corrected from TVs guys.On speeds of 80 I rarely found any

vibrations.Engine handling is very smooth.Initially for first 500 kms it was not that smooth, but just wait and watch after 1000 kms. the engine sound is so sweet..U ride the

bike past someone and he is not aware that the bike has past thru him.Very sweet refined engine. Also TVS Apache has got great manouverability and low centre of Gravity

so bike handling I much better. great control.i rode to to believe it. It just feels like a car when u drive . With a 147.5cc engine, that spits out a peak power of 13.5 bhp at

8, 500 rpm, the Apache’s engine is on a par with the Bajaj Pulsar’s and slightly more powerful compared to the 149.1-cc Honda engine in the Unicorn. The other new feature

is a high voltage spark plug that produces a longer flame front, which also ensures that spark duration lasts as much as six times longer (1, 200 milliseconds, instead of 200

milliseconds) compared to normal spark plugs.

Mileage: I have done about 1500 Kms and it is giving me a good average of about 57KPL in heavy citi traffik. great save on money too.. I fill nornal unleaded petrol.I believe after my first service I am getting much more.on highway I am getting 63+.Cheers to Apache .

Guys as it is ritely said, That all men are born Equal, but only some own Apache.I am so happy that this bike is worth the money and I really made such a good decision.
