Perfect Review

Hi Guys,

I am an old viewer of MouthShut, am from chennai.

Felt like giving an overview of my experince with RTRs’ as I am an user of both.

I have reading the reviews for an year and on 08-08-08 I have booked my dream baby RTR FI.

I got the bike to hand on 27-08-08. I am an user of RTR160 earlier. I used it roughly for an year.

I started using it, and comparing it with my experince with my old apache. We still have it in my room with my roommate.

As of today the old RTR travelled for >30, 00kms approx. and FI travelled for 4900kms.

Here are my observations.

*RTR:

Speed: **123 kms(with my pillon in a single shot on my first long drive)

Milage: 40-45 kms

Problems: I felt none, seating comfort for pillon is not that good, rest all negliable ones.

Riding comfort: Easy to handle(but slippery on wet roads)

*RTR EFI:

Speed: **118 kms(with my pillon - trust me I have made 7 very tough attemps to reach this speed, the bike sucks to move fast after 90kms might be due to FI tech, oil was not being pumped properly as required at that speed, am not expert to talk about technology )

Milage: 50-55 kms(i particularly test it initially)

Problems: Ther are many I am experiencing,

1) on wet roads the bike is skating:-) to be frank fell down thrice when bike is at 0kms speed and clibming the basement. Slipping badly on wet surfaces.

2) I kept the bike in my parking lobby and left it for 3 days without starting it due to heavy rains and when I tried to start it now, its not getting started. Damn thing no choke and no petrol on off, Hope pertrol was overflown as I have nto used the bike for 3 days at all.

Riding comfort: Not very light like RTR, a bit weight but on curves u can bend the bike to the best than any other Indian bikes (R15, Karizma were expectional coz I havent used them) .

*Goodies about FI that are not in RTR:

*1) The rear disc. Its AWESOME. I can give 200/100:-)

2) The pick up and mileage. It reaches 80 easily from then though you acclerate fully u can see the speedo meter goinu up that fast and it keeps on showing 111kms in the same time FI is taking to cross 100kms from 90 kms:)

3) The seating comfort is better to RTR.

Will get back with more details once I repaired my bike:-)

Conclusion 10k more than RTR is work for disc+mileage. And I can say if you want to have the fun of apache with less care/maintenance go for normal RTR. If you feel you like to see the bike like a baby and care much go for RTR EFI.

Thanks all I have for tonight.:-) C u soon.
