Review after 18000 kms

I would like to share my experience with my lovely bike (CARB Version), I had purchased on feb 2008 (got delivery on my birth day).

I am salaried and comp hardware engineer by profession, I stayed at borivali and my office is at Chembur.

Since the day till 1000kms i’ve drove my bike according to the user manual. in those day I was really frustrated because I wanted to experience the power of my bike (pickup, top speed), but some how I controlled myself.

The day had arrived which I was eagerly waiting for (1000kms) mark.

Power & Pickup is EXCELLENT.

I got an opportunity to check or rather compare my bike pickup, top speed with unicorn & pulsar 150 one day while returning back to home.

I was halted on REDLIGHT signal (Bandra - Kherwadi) on that day, besides me their was another guy who was riding 1 red pulsar and next is uni (black). I was not deliberatley ready for that small sort of race but it happens. The moment the lights turned to green the first was pulsar who started to over accelerate his pulsar, and the next was uni, by seeing them I had also come into their mood and decided to join their league and within the 4th gear I had passed both of them and then in 5th gear I was touching 116kmph mark on my speedo and I was wacthing the other 2 guys in my rear view mirrors .

Comfort & Handling - EXCELLENT

I had done long journeys on my bike ( MUMBAI-DAMAN with pillon rider) and (MUMBAI - CHIPLUN single), frankly both rides was pleasent (no back pain, no wrist pain) drove my bike on avg speed of 70-75.

MILEAGE - VERY GOOD or RATHER EXCELLENT in this class.

I usually change my engine oil after every 2000 kms, and I am getting the mileage of 54kmpl (yes my friends) driving in peak hours with mix driving style ( min speed 50km and max 60 km) with lots of breaking.

But like to suggest on this front. What I have observ that If I drove my bike steadily 52-53 mark I got 58+ mileage most of the time.

I do reserve to reserve reading for mileage.

CONS:

Rear Tyre is bit sleepery as compared to front one ( which is very soft and effective) I had experience this one day at dharavi where small oil was there on the road. REAR TYRE not recommended.

GEARS are not that smooth and very hard to find the NEUTRAL on redlight.
