Hi friends,
Today I would like to share my opinions over the TVS bike Apache 160 RTR.
I Own it in 2010 on 20th may with a yellow colour one. This colour attracts me because it looks like a tiger. After then when I become unable to ride long distances over it in 2016, have to switch my bike from Apache to HORNET.
In the year 2010 when I bought it, we people were so crazy to have ride it because of its good acceleration and speed that other bikes didnt have so much in this category. My colleagues said to me, what had you brought. Did you know. It will put you in danger.I said to them it is all in hands of GOD.
Now talk regarding bike design section, design is robust & very good. It has aerodynamic shape which lacks in todays bike. Its front head lamp design also good. Its material quality used by TVs for the components is also very fine. But its ergonomics isnt good for long distances, because its rake angle and seating position didnt match very well to each other. For a short height person it is not good one, because he will looks like he is laying on it. Its design is very compact and a bike of shorter length remains always good to ride and for cutting the corners on the roads.
For shorter distances, it is a powerful Rocket. Its engine is very good. Sound quality produce by engine is light & audable. Its engine capacity is of 159.79 cc. It reaches up to a mark of 0~ 60 kmph just in 5~ 6 seconds. I have done this several times while having races with my friends who have pulsars.
It is a reliable and durable bike for shorter distance. But a person of 5 8 height will be affected from severe pain in his hands, wrist, shoulders and backbone at long distances. So please avoid it to go on long distances. Reliable is due to its mileage and performance wise. Its performance is not negotiable at all.
While I was having my office at a distance of 30 kms apart from my home. I was having daily up and down daily. But when the distances raised, my difficulties also rises. by the time my daily commuting distances Increasing from 15 to 54 kms due to job get changed, but I think I can do it with my Apache. But I was wrong, because for such a long distances you need a bike with upright seating position and a wide handle bar grip. So I switch from Apache to HORNET.
Usually I got a mileage of 56~ 58 km on daily basis. And also the service costs doesnt so much just 500~ 600 INR.
So it was just like boon for me. I always enjoy its riding, mostly its pick up.
