Hi guys this is my first ever review in mouthshut.com and id love to get your feedback and opinions about this. I bought my RTR 180 a few weeks ago and it has clocked around 1200 odd kms and I would like to share my experience with this bike.
Starting with the looks, the bike looks menacing from every side true to its racing image with racing stripes over the tank and on the front scoops the bike includes clip-on handle bars, sporty seating position and an aggresive looking fairing. The white colour stands out from the rest, you get all the attention you want!. And the rear gets a wider tyre and longer wheelbase than RTR 160 and also a detachable rear mud guard. The bike has a common digital speedo like every other new bike on the market but has special feautures like race lap timer and high speed recorder just to show off your top speed!
When it comes to performance I would give it 9 outta 10!.The moment you sit on the bike it makes its intension clear, its here to smoke the competition and give the bigger bikes a run for thier money. If you want an affordable bike for those silly street races then is the bike for you dude trust me!and the good thing I noticed is that the power delivery remains constant throughout the gear shifts I mean you dont have to acclerate that hard to regain the momentum from the previous gear. Its got 17.3bhp of power which is more than enough for its size and weight. The handling and control is really good but the handle feels a bit heavy during low speeds, engine feels slightly rough which is actually good if you like that rough and grunty feel.i like that! and gearbox is not so good especially during down shifts. And ive managed to hit a top speed of 128kmph or atleast thats what it showed on the speedo!I think it can go beyond that.il have to try next time. One strange thing ive noticed is that the bike really struggles to climb steep roads!i dont know why is that even with all that power!.And theres bit of vibration after 6500 0r say 7000rpm.But nonethless this bike is total fun to ride and makes you feel really good.
Im getting a mileage about 38-40 kmpl, guys this bike is all about performance so you shouldnt worry about mileage if youre looking for performance. The brakes are really good too, the bike doesnt wobble or lose grip under heavy braking, since its got a rear disc brake youve got use both of them wisely if u use only the front youll end up throwin your girlfriend of the bike or if use only the rear youll end up sliding on the road!
Its not a comfortable bike long trips and for tall guys like me, youll experience back and wrist pain initially. The quality is also quite ok coz you cant ask more for that price. when it comes to reliability ive not experienced any trouble with the bike till date and I hope I wont, i know TVS and Bajaj bikes have reliability issues but I feel I all depends on your maintainence. Ive owned a Pulsar 180 and karizma before so every bike has its own pros&cons.
Finally I would recommend this bike for its great perfomance, fun and riding thrill and also the price, atleast its less than a FZ!and this also the reason I bought this bike, i mean, while im getting a 180cc, 17.3 bhp machine for lesser price than the 153cc FZ then why shouldnt i?
Happy riding guys!
Hope you like the review! your opinions are more than welcome.
