I bought my new Centra bike a few months back. Earlier to this, I was using Hero Honda Splendour for almost 5 years. I was attracted towards Centra on seeing the advertisements ’’Fill Once a Month bike’’ and also the fancy colours. I was going through several reviews on this vehicle and decided to dispose off my Splendour, which was working fine without any major trouble as such.
My office is very close to my residence (not even half a kilometre). So my daily ride is maximum 1 km on week days and week-ends 10 to 20 kms for outing. I bought a red Centra through one of TVS authorised dealers in Chennai. After having drove Splendour for 5 years, I am using this vehicle.
This vehicle has serious starting trouble. Every time I had to apply choke to start the bike. Even if it is 15 minutes interval, I have to apply choke. Also once you switch off the choke and start the bike, till the engine gets heated, the bike gets off on the road. Thus giving me enough trouble almost every day for 1/2 KM travel. At the time of first service I hv explained the above problem to the dealer with whom I bought this vehicle. But no use.
Again within 15 days I hv taken the vehicle to the dealer and shouted at them. They wanted to check the vehicle thoroughly and hence taken 3 days of time. Atleast this time I thought the problem would have been rectified. But again no use. Then decided not to waste time and engery in arguing with the dealer and live with the problem. Now started applying new concept.
Whenever I start, using choke for minimum 10 to 15 minutes and once the engine gets heated apply full throttle and move the vehicle. By this, the engine doesnt get switch off. However I feel very uncomfortable on the busy road to apply all these tactics.
Now cursing my decision to sell off my sweet & trouble free Splendour and getting this troublefull vehicle.
Dont ask me about the mileage, I couldnt check as of now, since the engine is wasting enough fuel to just start itself.

Driving Experience - Very uncomfortable till the engine gets heated up.
