I bought TVS Flame on 8/4/2008 after an extensive search on the internet for a month.First I wanted to buy any one from Honda Shine and HH Glamour..Mean while I came to note that TVS Flame is also good in 125 cc segment bikes from my friend.Then I searched on net for details of Flame and I was impressed by its looks and features.I read some reviews of the same and finally decided to buy it..
Now I want to share my experience with the bike,
Looks: really looks of this bike is stunning, embedded trafficators look great..rear Led lamp is very good.comes in mixture of black and red colour theme.
Performance& Handeling : I have completed around 800Km..there is no problem with the performance of the bike except vibration over 50KMPH which has been reduced after first service.Sometimes I feel there should have 5th gear also as it has got very good pickup(10.3 BHP which is high in the segment).Hadling is good but has got LONG HANDLE BAR which some people don’t like.It has SriChakra tyres which are not up to the mark and may not be good in wet conditions..
Mileage: I emptied the tank and put 200ml of petrol and went for a ride and it gave me 12.7KM..
I also checked reserve to reserve after putting 1 Ltr of petrol and it gave 57KM in city conditions.overall its good mileage for a 125 cc bike.
Features:Digital console is very attractive and it has also got clock and IMI(Instantanious Mileage Indicator) but I dont know how accurate it is.It gives you approximate mileage per litre at that movement. TVS has introduced DELTA EDGE design for the first time in India according to which it has designed Fuel tank, Head light and Exhaust.
Overall very good bike in 125cc with a cost of Rs 52000/- (without disc brake).Those who want Sporty, stylish, powerful bike can go for it..
