SaReGaMaPa how far this is Justified

I have been a regular audiance for the the Program SaReGaMaPa program and the present aired program challange 2005 is rather more interesting. The competition has started in every field, till yeste-years singers for Indian movies playback were being selected by Music directors, Film Producers etc there were absolutely no competitions. singers from all regions tried their luck in world famous industry i.e Bollywood. Result - some were able to continue but most of them are gone in the wind. The olden days (late 50’s till late 70’s) we had singers counted on hand and their voices become an individual string in every Indian’s heart. I was sad watching last couple of episodes of the above program.

When I saw that the performance of the budding singers far more super excellent than the judges of the day (don’t forget these judges become a playback singer by getting a selection from music directors during yester-years). I have a doubt howmuch details in micro level these judges are aware of. In the contrary I enjoyed the comments raised by the magical mentors and to my belief these comments are genuine and absolute as far as judgement is concern. In this program judges (though I have doubts how singers can become a judge- like in games players are never referees or umpires) they judge the candidate on a single day 5 minutes performance. thats a total wrong idea. In my suggestion the judges should be teachers from the renowned music institutions or vateran music directors (who spent their entire life in researching on the Indian Music)

My request to the organiser of this program that the Idea is no doubt excellent to dig the best from India but please (please again) don’t make it farse when it comes for the judgement.
